Premastering

StageTech is doing pre-mastering services for audio since 1991. We have a fully equipped, state-of-the-art pre-mastering room capable of producing Sony PCM1630/U-matic, CD-R and Exabyte CD-masters for audio. Our customers are spread out between individual artists, record companies, recording studios, CD-brokers and CD-factories.

The room is equipped with the following equipment:

Sony PCM1630/U-matic editing system including PQ-editor and Tape analyzer from Sony.
DigiDesign ProMaster 20 digital editing system with 10 hours storage capacity including MasterList CD CD-Mastering program and Sony CDW900 CD-writer and Exabyte 8505XL-drive.
DAT-machines from Fostex (D20B and D5), Sony (PCM1000 with Audio design-modifications) and Tascam (DA30).
CD-players from Studer (A730) and Technics (SL-PG 740).
CD-tester StageTech EC2 Studio (fitted with all options).
DCC, MiniDisc and cassette-players from Philips, Sony and Technics
1/4" analog tape machine MCI JH110 including Dolby A and Dolby SR.
AD-converter DCS 900A.
Digital sample-rate converter Weiss SRC1 in Weiss DE102-system.
Analog processing including Focusrite RED2 Equalizer and LA Audio Classic Compressor.
Digital processing including Weiss EQ1 Digital Equalizer, TC Electronics M-5000 and Sony DAL1000 Digital Limiter.
Monitoring including ATC SCM50 active loudspeakers, Yamaha NS10M reference monitors and AKG K240 Monitor headphones.

The room is operated on appointment only, please call for bookings. We are very experienced in "mail-order" services. This means that You send us Your source material along with Your mastering-instructions, and we will do the job. If needed, we will call You to sort out anything unclear or for additional work needed. We can then send You a Test-CD for Your audition before making the final CD-master.
